Kent Music Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of every child and adult at risk who learns with us.
Our commitments
- Children and young people have the right to learn in a safe, respectful environment.
- Every under-18 learner is registered and managed by a parent or guardian account. Children cannot create accounts, and we do not collect payment from children.
- We collect only the information needed to teach safely, and keep it secure and access-controlled.
Tutor checks and training
- Designated Safeguarding Lead: Isaiah Prince (founder), info@kentmusicacademy.com, 07860 384874
During lessons
- For learners under 16, a parent or guardian must stay at the studio (in the building or waiting area) for the whole lesson.
- Doors remain open or a viewing window is used where practical.
- Physical contact is kept to the minimum needed for teaching technique, is explained first, and happens only with the learner's agreement.
- Communication about lessons goes through the parent or guardian account, not private messages with a child.
- Photos or videos of learners are taken only with written parental consent, and are never shared publicly without separate consent.
